You may or may not know I did a five-year stint in Boulder, Colorado while studying…….well….. while “attending” the ………….well…………while enrolled at CU.

It was there I met a lot of great professional cyclists and got the chance to ride with them many times – Jonathan Vaughters, Travis Brown, and Colby Pearce, to name a few.

Colby, a 2004 Olympian, Pam Am Games bronze medal winner, 14-time national track champion, U.S hour record holder, 11 time track World Cup medalist, and I became good friends while I was in Boulder. We remain friends, catching up at random mountain bike races and occasionally recalling antics of years past…

Anyhoo, all grown up now, Colby just wrapped up racing the Breck Epic last week, and blogged about the event on VeloNews.com.

The Breck Epic is an event of staggering proportions, the likes of which are comparable to the Colorado Trail Race, and Leadville 100. In fact, rumor has it that the Stunt Double won every stage of the race in his category, and tooko the overall by about an hour and a half. I have yet to see photgraphic evidence, but I’ll be sure to let you know.
Colby’s blogs can be found below. Check them out – they’re really good reads…
In other news, the stage is set for this weekend’s King Of The Rockies Final……but more on that after a bit…
